COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES & FARM UPDATES
*According to the supreme decree № 053-2020-PC Article 3, numeral 3.3, issued by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers on March 30th, 2020, it establishes “Exceptions for mandatory social immobilization hours for the development of their activities, strictly necessary personnel who participate in the provision of food supply services and medicines and related services, health, the continuity of water, sanitation, electric energy services, gas, fuels, telecommunications, inspection work, financial and related services, cleaning, solid waste management, funeral services, and transportation of cargo and goods and related activities, as stipulated by the Ministry of Transport and Communications”
**According to the supreme decree № 059-2020-PCM, issued by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Agriculture approved the resolution № 0094-2020-MINAGRI, which regulates the safety of workers in the agricultural sector during the state of emergency dictated by the Peruvian government in face of the COVID-19 pandemic: “Farmers, entrepreneurs, and workers of the agricultural sector who perform activities of production and supply of foodstuffs, including warehousing and distribution, must activate and execute the safety and sanitary protocols in order to protect the health of those involved in the agricultural activities, staff and seasonal workers hired towards those ends”.
Our Preventive Measures
Taking into account the health of our workers and the community, Shared-X has taken the following prevention measures, mandatory in all areas for company staff and visitors:
- Training on hygiene practices that prevent the contagion of COVID-19.
- Mandatory social distancing during work, meals, and training.
- Personal hygiene checks, including washing hands and work clothing.
- Disinfection of all equipment, furniture, and facilities.
- Disinfection of vehicles and personnel entering and leaving the farms with a 5% hypochlorite solution.
- Daily check of body temperature of workers and visitors before entering any of our premises.
- Leave of absence with pay to all our workers in the payroll who are vulnerable, such as pregnant women, elderly, and those afflicted with diseases like diabetes.

Our Farm Initiatives
Northern Peru Operations
- A technical nurse has been hired to deliver training on the prevention of contagion to a total of 170 workers.
- Printed materials (brochures and posters) have been handed out to all workers and posted on the premises.
- Protocols have been developed specifically for each area: packing, field, warehouses, security.
- Purchase COVID-19 kits to test to our workers at no cost.
Central Peru Operations
- Purchased 10 gallons of disinfectant gel and installation of dispensers in the three farms, including for the ginger packing plant.
- Purchased 2,000 masks and distributed them to all workers for mandatory use.
- Developed protocols specifically for each workstation: packing, field, warehouses, and security.
- In the Fundo Rio Santo, 60 workers including management staff have set up camping in the premises to avoid visiting the town.
- Providing meals for free and access to facilities for washing and personal hygiene to all workers, especially those In the Fundo Cinco Corazones, where 60 workers are tending to the coffee harvest and staying in the farm’s barracks, which adhere to social distancing guidelines.
